Bureau of Economic Analysis

Offers national, international, and regional-level data, including gross product by industry, gross state product [from 1977], state/local-area personal incomes, per capita personal income, local area wages, and projections of employment and income to 2045. Document files are in comma-delimited (ASCII) text, html, and compressed formats. This site also provides access to the Survey of Current Business [entire monthly issues since January 1997 (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader); subject guides since 1995].

Bureau Labor Statistics Homepage

The site for U.S. government labor and economic profiles [Mass. Economy At A Glance] and statistics, reports, surveys, and more. Includes the Consumer Price Index [CPI], Producers Price Index [PPI], and regional information. The Region I - Boston Home Page offers a table profiling the New England Regional economy [including the CPI and PPI], regional new releases regarding employment, labor, and the CPI, and the most requested series of data [searchable by year and presentation format].

Conference Board

Web site of the organization which produces the Consumer Confidence Index, Leading Economic Indicators, and Across the Board magazine, which are available for purchase.

Economy.com

A vast collection of economic statistics and resources. Features include local-area economic profile [searchable by zip code], articles, forecasts, dictionaries, calculators, and calendars of economic data releases.

EconData.net

EconData.Net is designed to help practitioners, researcher, students, and other data users to quickly gain access to relevant stated and regional socioeconomic data. The site is a convenient, comprehensive first stop for anyone searching among the vast, disparate array of public and private data sources on the Web.

Economic Statistics Briefing Room [ESBR]

A part of the the White House Web site, this page offers a collection of Federal economic indicators in the following categories: Production, Sales, Orders and Inventories; Output; Income, Expenditures, and Wealth; Employment, Unemployment, and Earnings; Prices; Money, Credit, and Interest Rates; Transportation; and International Statistics. Data available on national, regional, state, and local levels.

Federal Reserve Bank of Boston

The latest issue of the monthly New England Economic Indicators is available [requires Adobe Acrobat Reader3.0]. Summary tables and updates to the Indicator is viewable in html format. This site also offers the Summary of Commentary on Current Economic Conditions by Federal Reserve District ["Beige Book"], which provides anecdotal information on current economic conditions in each Federal Reserve District.

MassBedrock

This site, published and administered by the University of Massachusetts, provides business development and small business assistance information.  The digital library consists of several tools to assist visitors to the site in identifying and retrieving the business information you seek. It is both a database of resources and a directory guiding the visitor to other places and people for further assistance.

MassStats

Compiled by the Department of Employment and Training, MassStats is a comprehensive list of economic indicator, labor supply, and demographic data for the state of Massachusetts.  It is comparable across county and township divisions.

From the Massachusetts Department of Economic Development. Provides brief economic facts and statistics from a variety of sources.

New England Economic Project [NEEP]

Visitors can find the Massachusetts Economic Outlook, the Mass Insight -- New England Economic Project Consumer Confidence Survey and a calendar for NEEP's Outlook Conferences in economics and real estate. Members can access historical and projected economic data files.
